In the years 1962 to 1964, 36 Ferrari 250 GTO with 3 liter engine, and 3 with 4 liter engine vehicles, called 330 GTO, were built. Originally planned was a production of 100 GTO units, which stimulated a ("over" -) numerous production of parts were mounted the vehicles of Scaglietti, or under the guidance of your master Allegretti. According to literature, 3 more copies of the GTO were assembled by the success team Scaglietti / Allegretti in later years. So also our vehicle, which was based on a 1964 Ferrari 330 GT , which was originally delivered to the famous Belgian garage Francochamps, and from 1979 by Allegretti in Modena as GTO with the original spare parts and body was rebuilt. Currently the car is registered in Germany. In the year 1978/1979 .you see the old body parts in the warehouse and the "old" has confirmed to him that these remainders are from the mid 60s He had at that time already from Allegretti to have a GTO to be rebuilt 3 finished vehicles in 1980/1981 tackled. The vehicle has a first registration from 22.10.1986 to German Owner. These parts must have been "old" because at that time, the performance was still very different than it is today. That's why they found a reuse for the old parts, because they were there anyway. Making the 1980s bodies would have been far too expensive and it only made sense to use. From this consideration alone, every clear-thinking person must assume that they are old parts. If a vehicle were built today, the situation would certainly be different, because today a GTO costs between 40 and 45 million USD. It is also worthwhile to build a new body with a lot of financial effort. In my car letter is indeed synonymous as the first registration in 1964 in it, because it was a 1964 330 GTO Spezial.""
